How do I clean and maintain my seat covers?
People buy seat covers to protect their car seats from spills and stains, but the covers themselves can also get dirty. The good news is, yes, you can clean them. The method of cleaning changes depending on the type of material.
Leatherette:
Leatherette covers are easy to clean and can simply be wiped down with a damp cloth. For stubborn scuffs to Leatherette, rubbing alcohol can be used.
Sheepskin:
Sheepskin covers should be taken to a professional dry cleaner with experience handling Sheepskin products.
All other Fabrics:
For all other fabric covers, you can use most upholstery cleaners or a rag to spot clean while keeping the covers on the seat. If you’re willing to remove the covers, they can be machine washed. Be sure to air dry them afterward, as putting them in the dryer could cause damage.
