What is the difference between Universal and Custom Tailor Made seat covers?

Universal seat covers are designed to fit a broad range of vehicles, which often results in a loose or imprecise fit. Custom seat covers, like those we offer, are tailored specifically to your vehicle’s make, model, and seat configuration, ensuring a snug, professional fit that won’t bunch up or slip around. Custom covers also tend to look more integrated with the vehicle’s interior.

How long is the production time for my custom seat covers?

Due to the custom nature of seat covers variances like material, color, year, make and model, we begin manufacturing only after the order is placed.

Most seat covers are being shipped within the US in a matter of weeks. Unfortunately, word is out on our quality and due to a recent surge in sales production times may add an additional week from what was originally predicted.

Rest assured, we've hired extra staff to speed up production while maintaining the same high quality our customers expect. Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information to monitor delivery, which varies depending on your location.

All covers are shipped from the West coast of the U.S.

Based on the current workload, custom seat cover orders that are placed right now should ship out around 2024-11-29

Do the seat covers come with a warranty?

Yes, we offer a 1-year limited warranty on all of our custom seat covers. This warranty covers any defects in materials or craftsmanship. If you experience any issues within the first year, we offer repairs or replacements. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to customer satisfaction.

Along with our warranty, we guarantee the fit.  Installation does take time for certain vehicles but after this process is done, all essential parts of the seat will be protected from possible damage.

Even if something happens outside that first year, feel free to reach out, we're always willing to help and get your covers back to top shape.

Most customers have seen 5-10 years of life with their seat covers.  The average U.S. driver doesn't keep vehicles for more than that time frame.  Some customers have even reported 12-13 years of life for their seat covers before the original seat was seen.

Many factors go into life expectancy of seat covers, such amount of trips or height of the vehicle but we focus on providing customers with seat covers that will give customers the best "bang for their buck".

How much do seat covers cost?

It depends on the fabric and if you choose the basic or premium package for your seat cover. The pricing displayed on the home page is the starting price for the basic package. Installation Questions

Can I install Seat Covers on heated or ventilated seats?

Yes, our seat covers can be installed on seats with heated and ventilated functions without any issues.

For all fabric types, the seat heaters will warm up the additional fabric layer, similar to how they would warm up a towel placed on the seat. While some seats with high airflow may experience a slight reduction in ventilation due to the added layer, most of our fabrics are porous enough to allow some air to pass through.

Leatherette, however, does not permit airflow. The quilted centers feature perforation holes, which may help slightly. Overall, while the airflow may be somewhat reduced with seat covers, the temperature should remain consistent with what you experience without them.

Finally, any major seat features, like large air vents, are taken into account, and the material is designed to fit around them.

Can I install the seat covers myself, or do I need a professional?

Our seat covers are designed for easy installation, and most customers can install them at home without professional help. Usually it's not an issue of difficulty, but mainly time to install them.

We include detailed installation instructions with every purchase.  Since our seat covers are designed to mimic the seams of your original seat, certain covers might need a little bit more effort to set them into place.  For more complex seat configurations, it may take a bit more time, but most customers find the process straightforward.

No difficult hog rings are used, these seat covers are attached with simple buckles or Velcro.   In few occasions strings or tie cord are required to get the most polished finished look.

We typically tell customers to set aside 45 minutes to an hour to install their seat covers or invite a friend to help speed up the process.

Are your seat covers compatible with side airbags? - SRS Airbags

Yes, we design our seat covers with safety in mind. For vehicles with side airbags, we offer seat covers that have special stitching designed to tear away in the event of airbag deployment. This ensures that your airbags can deploy safely and effectively while your seats remain protected.

When the seat covers are installed the SAFESTITCH tag should be closest to the doors of the vehicle.  This will allow the cover to deploy properly.

How do I clean and maintain my seat covers?

People buy seat covers to protect their car seats from spills and stains, but the covers themselves can also get dirty. The good news is, yes, you can clean them.  The method of cleaning changes depending on the type of material.

Leatherette:

Leatherette covers are easy to clean and can simply be wiped down with a damp cloth. For stubborn scuffs to Leatherette, rubbing alcohol can be used.

Sheepskin:

Sheepskin covers should be taken to a professional dry cleaner with experience handling Sheepskin products.

All other Fabrics:

For all other fabric covers, you can use most upholstery cleaners or a rag to spot clean while keeping the covers on the seat. If you’re willing to remove the covers, they can be machine washed. Be sure to air dry them afterward, as putting them in the dryer could cause damage.
